About Me,
Jacqueline Kook, she/her

Bodies aren't problems to solve. Even I need to be reminded of that.

I'm a New York State licensed acupuncturist and NSCA-certified Strength and Conditioning Coach. I've worked in fitness and movement since 2007, when I began as a Pilates instructor. Along the way, I've studied strength and conditioning, sports medicine, trigger point needling, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Kiiko Matsumoto acupuncture. I've also trained in the StrongFirst kettlebell system, reaching Level 2.

I take care of myself by returning to nature, moving my body, and slowing down with my loved ones. Acupuncture, seasonal living, and lifting heavy weights help me over and over. These are the practices I return to, and they’re at the heart of my work with people.

With acupuncture, the medicine is ageless. It goes back millennia and connects me with my ancestors. I continue to find new healing and education through it.

And lifting is simply difficult, boring, and fun. It grounds me, helps me stick to a schedule, reminds me I'm not that special and, simultaneously, that my body is wondrous.
